I was over the moon to be approached by The Australian Brahman Breeders’ Association to create two large paintings to hang in the “Brahman Lounge” at Beef Week 2024 in Rockhampton. This is the second of the original paintings, “Brahman Bliss” created from amazing reference photos by Ainsleigh Lancaster Photography at Bungoona Brahmans. Having great photos makes for exciting paintings, and this is definitely my favourite!
Created on a 30″x 36″ (76.3cm x 91.5cm) stretched canvas, the painting is created from two separate photos that I combined to create a lovely moment between the calves and the cow. I really love to paint Brahman calves, I think it is their gorgeous big gentle eyes, floppy ears and all their folds of skin…capturing their playful spirit!
