The original oil painting, is painted on a wood panel. I was inspired after studying how to use strong, pure colour to depict my subjects. Thanks to @Captured by Genni M for allowing me to use her amazing photos for reference. I wanted to capture the incredible Australian colours of western Australia and the outback/Pilbara area. This brahman calf is very inquisitive and capturing his essence within the image was very special to me.
