Bullocks at Surat

I attended a 5 day workshop with Kathy Ellem which coincided with the Cobb & Co festival at Surat in 2019. We got to take lots of photos and witness the re-enactment of it all, which was fantastic. Seeing the bullock team there was incredible to watch, as were the stage coaches too. This was the first painting I was doing through the workshop and never really finished it. It sat on my shelf as reminder of the trip, but also as a reminder that I needed to finish it! I really love the use of colour I was taught and I still try to incorporate this into all my paintings. The canvas measures 51cm x 41 cm 16″ x 20″ and is 4cm thick.
