It is a reproduction of the original painting Sterling from Behind which is an oil painting on a raw linen canvas. The subject is a lovely old gentleman of a horse who actually had his own Facebook page called “Sterling’s Journey”. I was lucky enough to meet him before he passed away not long ago. He lives on in this painting and others that I did before he passed. The painting is simple, elegant yet strong.
