This painting was to try to create an abstract type background with an action detailed image in the foreground. The colours are earthy and Australian to capture the harshness of some of the cattle country over here especially during a drought. The reference photo was from the very talented photographer Miss Grey Photography. 61 cm x 76 cm (24″x 30″). It is a stretched canvas is ready to hang. I have used material,threads,impasto and other materials to create a textured surface to then paint the moment to depict a feeling of motion and movement using a very limited palette. The painting has been framed in a very complimentary black floating frame with a lovely brushed gold edge which makes the painting just ‘pop’! The framed painting measures 80 cm x 64 cm.
