This mixed media painting on a 91.5 cm x 91.5 cm wooden art board was something I have been wanting to attempt for quite a while now. I created a lot of texture by gluing different material to the board ,then heavily painting with gesso and writing a lot of hidden messages into it before it dried. The wolves are so textured in their look with all that fur ,so I wanted to try and create the illusion of fur and movement. Capturing the emotion of these two, I found myself becoming lost in the whole scene and it felt amazing, I really went into a “Zone”.
“Stronger Together” is the perfect title for this painting, as we so heavily rely on family and friends -our village! …so do wolves and their pack!
I am so very proud of my experiment and trial …I feel I have stepped up in my ability by painting this, taking the chance, pushing the boundaries and it has taught me a lot in the process.
